Hi There!
I'm Brittany, and I started BrightWing Consulting LLC so I could dedicate my experience to help international organizations unlock the knowledge they already have but can’t always see.

About Me
I'm a KM expert and mentor with over 13 years' experience working in the NGO/international development space. I also write and speak on various KM topics.
As Owner and Managing Consultant of BrightWing Consulting LLC, I work with teams and organizations to turn fragmented insights into shared wisdom through KM strategies, capacity building, and people-centered learning and knowledge sharing approaches that actually stick.
I'm also a Co-founder of the Empower KM Conference, a network and annual conference that brings KM practitioners and KM emerging voices together to learn, connect, and shape the future of knowledge work. And I co-host Not Another KM Podcast, where my co-host and I discuss KM tools and topics in a relatable way while spotlighting real stories from the field.

About BrightWing Consulting LLC
The world doesn't have a knowledge problem. It has a connection problem. Solutions to the world’s toughest challenges already exist but remain locked in silos - in another team, another department, another regional office. And for mission-driven international organizations, that connection problem can have serious implications for the livelihoods of the communities they serve.
BrightWing Consulting LLC was born from my desire to use my KM expertise to help NGO, international development, humanitarian, and multi-later clients capture, share, and leverage their knowledge to achieve their goals and move from silos to synergy. By assessing where critical gaps in connection, whether to information or to each other, I work to co-create solutions that move teams towards greater collaboration and ultimately empower them to sustain the work after the engagement ends.
This can look like:
-
Diagnosing organizational knowledge gaps;
-
Implementing knowledge retention, sharing, and retrieval systems adapted to each client’s culture;
-
Establishing and cultivating learning interventions and communities (e.g. Communities of Practice) to surface and share experience and enhance cross-learning; and/or
-
Providing ongoing mentorship and training to embed KM best practices.
My work through BrightWing Consulting LLC, combined with my podcast and conference work, creates the BrightWing Knowledge Ecosystem, which clients benefit from:
How does this fit together?
Consulting → Action: Help clients action insights.
Podcast → Insight: Amplify stories and voices.
Conference → Community: Bring people together to share.
